Betsy Kagen Narrative and documentary film editor whose most recent credits include Who We Are Now, which premiered at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival (starring Julianne Nicholson, Emma Roberts, Jimmy Smits, and Zachary Quinto); The King (directed by Eugene Jarecki), which premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival; My Art (starring Laurie Simmons, Robert Clohessy, John Rothman, Blair Brown, Parker Posey, and Lena Dunham), which premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival; and All This Panic, a documentary which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca film festival. Betsy is currently editing director Adam Leon's upcoming film starring Vanessa Kirby and Maya Hawke.
Stella Quinn Edit Center alum and editor has been working in the film and television industry for almost ten years. She is currently completing work on the documentary film Good Ol' Girl, a film about women cattle ranchers in Texas, for director/producer Sarah Brennan Kolb. Stella also served as associate editor on Who We Are Now, starring Julianne Nicholson, Emma Roberts, and Zachary Quinto, which premiered at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival. In 2016, she worked as the assistant editor on Alex Shebanow's Fail State, which premiered at DOCNYC and is currently available on Starz. Prior to entering the world of post production she worked in the art department on various network television shows including "Law & Order: SVU".
Todd Holmes
Todd Holmes is an award winning film editor based in New York City. Most recently, he edited "Bull", a narrative feature by first time director Annie Silverstein that had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and won the Grand Prize at the 2019 Deauville American Film Festival. His previous editing work includes “Coming Through The Rye” starring Alex Wolff and Chris Cooper directed by James Sadwith, and “Song of Sway Lake” starring Rory Culkin directed by Ari Gold. His documentary work includes "Death Metal Angola" by director Jeremy Xido, “All Eyes and Ears” directed by Vanessa Hope and produced by Ted Hope, and he did additional editing on "Being Elmo" directed by Constance Marks, which won a special jury prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Janah Cox
Edit Center alum served as first assistant editor on Mr. SOUL! (2018 Tribeca world premiere), directed by Sam Pollard and The King (2018 Sundance Film Festival), directed by Eugene Jarecki. She most recently served as co-editor on Charles Ferguson's Watergate, which is currently in post-production.
Brian Young
Recently served as an assistant editor on Queen of Earth (starring Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss, directed by Alex Ross Perry) and Little Men from Ira Sachs (director of the Independent Spirit Award-nominated film Love Is Strange). Brian was an additional editor on Our Life Will Be Ours (Dominic Fumusa, Julie Sokolowski, Kerry Condon) and editor on Maybe There’s a Tree, a mockumentary about the New York theater scene starring The Office’s Creed Bratton. Brian also has a background in motion graphics and has been a visual effects artist and animator on a variety of films and commercials.
Chelsea Searles
New York-based editor and producer - currently editing “From Beacon to the Border,” a documentary about resistance efforts toward the policy of family separation at the US/Mexico border. Chelsea was recently an Associate Editor of “Nothing Fancy: Diana Kennedy,” which will have its world premiere in the 2019 Documentary Feature Competition at SXSW, and Associate Producer of “George,” a biopic about Fluxus impresario and avant-garde artist George Maciunas, which premiered at MoMA’s 2018 Doc Fortnight.
Regina Sobel
Brooklyn-based film editor and producer. She was the editor and co-writer of Fail State (Starz), a feature documentary about inequality in higher education which premiered at DOC NYC in 2017. She also served as editor and producer on Old Dog, a verite documentary about sheep dog training in New Zealand, and associate editor on Alex Ross Perry’s Queen of Earth (IFC Films), starring Elisabeth Moss. Previously, she produced and directed graphics for film and TV, including PBS's Park Avenue: Money, Power & the American Dream, Showtime’s "Years of Living Dangerously," and HBO’s "Game of Thrones."
